Every three years we complete our reassessment for the “Investor in people” award. This involves the staff team being interviewed about a variety of topics such as professional development, Company incentives, appraisal systems and how their performance is managed. The inspector was very impressed with our staff development systems and our success in winning the Nursery World Team development award last year. We are pleased to announce it was a successful day and we passed the assessment process and have been

re-accredited with the award for the 5th time ! Well done to all our team for their continued commitment to their development !




In November our pre school children starting practicing their songs and carols ready for our christmas show early December.  The nursery has started to become very festive! and very glittery.

Our christmas tree arrived ready for the 1st December !  We had lots of activities throughout the month, with parties, our christmas dinner for the children and not forgetting a visit from santa himself! 








27th SEPTEMBER 2014- We are pleased to inform you that we WON the  'TEAM DEVELOPMENT CATEGORY' at the NURSERY WORLD AWARDS.  A group of ten members of the Clockwork team attended and spent the weekend in London for the ceremony. This was attended by nurseries from all over the UK, and we felt extremely proud and excited about our acheivement.   



  In May/June 2014 we compiled our entry for the Nursery World Awards. This is a National awards ceremony for the childcare sector. We entered three categories and gathered a variety of evidence and witness statements from staff, parents and outside professionals.we will be attending a ceremony in London on 27th September. We are extemeley excited to make the last five from all the entries recieved and a group of 10 staff members will be travelling to  attend the this space for further updates !!!



In June we all got very excited for the start of the world cup in Brazil.  We decorated the reception area with the flags of the world, and we even sampled a variety of foods from different countries.  Emma our cook changed the menu and incorporated themed days linked to different countires.  We children enjoyed visits from the west indian drummers and also a Samba Bamba session. 


Our little chicks arrived at the end of April and will be with us for around three weeks in the cage in the parents area. The children have really enjoyed this activity. They turned the eggs daily and to see the chicks hatch from their eggs was a fantastic experience to see. One of the parents from nursery will be taking the chicks, and we will share updates and photos with the children as they grow much bigger.


 In March we welcomed some new additions..... our freshwater Fish ! They are based in reception so that all our children can see them when they arrive at nursery. They are already very popular and the children have been very excited to see them each day.


 January 2014 - Our annual staff awards have taken place, this years employee of the year award was shared between Michelle Stonehouse and Michelle Stafford ! Well Done Ladies and thank you for all your hard work and dedication !


 November 2013 -Thank you to all our parents who contributed to our Harvest Festival. We have donated the food to the local food bank program. They will then distribute this to local families within the tameside area


 Our Rhythm and Rhyme week in October 2013 was a great success! Chrildren had a full week of musical activities which involved 'music from around the world', making instruments, exploring a variety of real musical instruments, and a vist from Music stop exploring rhythm and dance. At the end of the week we had a competition where our children and parents made an instrument at home. The judging was very difficult as everybody made such wonderful instruments!


 In September 2013 we had a balloon release day for Ruebens retreat. We were very surprised to recieve emails from as far as Holland and Germany ! Each balloon was sold for £1.00 with all proceeds going to Ruebens Retreat


 August 2013 has been a very busy month for children leaving for school. Our pre school children had a wonderful time at their graduation party, with special guests Spiderman and Hello Kitty ! Steady Eddie our DJ entertained everyone with his disco and the children loved the bubble machine and snow spray!


In May 2013 we were very proud to acheive 'OUTSTANDING' for our OFSTED inspection! This report is now available to view online.We are extremely proud of our staff team in achieving this recognition from Ofsted. We strive to provide the very highest standards of care as we fundamentally believe that every child deserves the best.
